One : of the perils of urbanization is the shrinking area being left available for open, green spaces where one can keep fit, unwind, or do whatever that you cannot afford to do in cramped concrete spaces. Unfortunately, some urban planners and developers tend to forget this aspect when they make their masterplans, thus denying these places of some breathing space.

Fortunately, it is not all a bleak scenario out there. Let this entry cite one such example, found in the midst of the bustling and ever-growing commercial-business district of Bonifacio Global City located in Taguig. (for now at least)

Beginning with this post, as part of the changes with the new Urban Roamer site, there will be a new semi-regular feature here which I would like to call ”Checked Out,” in which we “checked out” various events happening around the metro like exhibits, trade fairs, concerts, fiestas, whatever interesting event that comes our way

Not many people now that every February, apart from Valentines, the Philippines also celebrates National Arts Month. During this time, one can expect a lot of events and activities aimed to promote Filipino arts, whether it may be visual arts, literature, cinema, music, theater, dance, or architecture.

One of these events is the private initiative known as Art Fair Philippines. Now on its 2nd year, it aims to support modern and contemporary Philippine visual art, showcasing its vibrance, as well as the talents of our artists in front of a growing audience, based both locally and internationally as well.

Connecting North And South: The NLEX-SLEX road link projects

Be prepared. Traffic Armageddon is upon us cityfolk. Then again, aren’t we already experiencing it every single day of our urban lives?

This time though, we are warned it’s going to be worse than worse thanks to various projects that will commence construction within the year (as it is being projected at this time) all in the name of alleviating the age-old traffic woes of the metropolis and improving the metropolis’ transportation system.

The website MMRoadway.com listed about 15 of these projects; for today, the Urban Roamer is going tackle two of them which are expected to change the way how Metro Manila will be interconnected with the rest of Luzon, both North and South.

So “Olivia” Said Yes…

After a week of speculation we were finally treated with the “good news” that “Olivia” finally said yes.

And we were treated also with the news that they bought what would be their first “investment” together…at Pioneer Woodlands.

Thus we finally realize it was also a stroke of viral and somewhat clever marketing courtesy of Empire East, the developer of this residential condominium project for the aforementioned unit located at the corner of EDSA and Pioneer Street in Mandaluyong in the bustling business district there.
