Magallanes Village in Makati is known as that posh village that straddles along the busy chokepoint thoroughfares that are EDSA and Osmeña Highway/South Luzon Expressway. As such, it would be easy to not notice its presence, if not for the presence of an iconic landmark there: the Catholic parish church of St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, also known as the Magallanes Church.

Today, this roamer checks out another rising star in the coworking circuit a coworking space known as Acceler8 located within the busy Makati Central Business District.
Whenever we hear about Makati and the Makati Central Business District (CBD), we usually associate it with the tall buildings, the swanky hotels, and the classy shopping malls. But in the midst of this modern center of commerce lies a cultural soul of the business district that has managed to thrive to be a landmark in its own right and helped make this part of the metropolis more than just a business hub but a cultural hub as well. Of course, we are talking about the Ayala Museum, one the most well-known museums in the metropolis and the country as a whole.
And as Ayala Museum marks its 50th birthday in 2017, the Urban Roamer invites you to roam this museum as we learn the history and the heritage preserved in this storied structure.
With the facilities of the Santa Ana Park relocated to Naic, Cavite in 2009, work began on the redevelopment of the old Santa Ana Park property, at least most of the property. Spearheading the redevelopment was Ayala Land which had a vision of transforming the area to become Makati’s next commercial and residential hub.
The result was Circuit Makati, a development which spanned 21 hectares of the original racecourse. Work began in 2011 and is still ongoing at this time of writing. Nevertheless, as the work progressed, Circuit Makati slowly began to take shape as new facilities and venues were being built in the area over the years.
