Roaming the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2

This year, the Urban Roamer has finally accomplished an important personal milestone: to have visited all 4 terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It was a culmination of an air travel experience which began, incidentally, ten years ago when I flew to Boracay out of Terminal 4, AKA the Domestic Airport. It was pre-Urban Roamer so I haven’t really written something about it. And frankly, there was (and still is) not much to write about it anyway., Then in 2010, my flight to Hong Kong provided an opportunity to check out the then quite new Terminal 3, which I got to write about. Remembering Luning Bonifacio Ira

The Urban Roamer is taking a break at the moment to write a personal piece that I admit have some trouble composing. Marikina’s Humble But Kingly Museum

If there’s one thing to love about Marikina, it’s its suburban atmosphere that is relaxing and, as they would say, “chill” while not lacking on the interesting places to visit. From its food district to to its shoe museum to its clean public market, Marikina is one of the metropolis’ underrated gems that deserve a visit. And if there is one more reason to visit Marikina, it is this one of a kind museum that book-lovers and aficionados of Philippine indigenous culture would appreciate: the Book Museum cum Ethnology Center.in Marikina Heights.

The Luscious Flavors at Lilac Street

It’s been a while since the Urban Roamer embarked on a food tour. So what better occasion to go on a food tour again than doing it on a day after this Roamer’s recent birthday early this month. (Still not too late to receive well-wishes or whatever gifts you like to give me, lol) For this particular food tour, it was an opportunity to finally check out one of the rising food districts in the metropolis, a street named after a fragrant flower that has become known for its fragrant flavors. Welcome to Lilac Street in Marikina.
