Ergonomics is not something we often concern ourse Ergonomics is not something we often concern ourselves about but it's actually an overlooked problem that can affect our health. Worse, we don't realize how our workspace choices actually affect our ergonomic health.Take for instance the desks we use to work, especially with our computers. This calculator here suggests that for the Filipino height of around 1.7 m (5'6" to 5'7") the right table should have a height of around 67-69 cm (from base to tabletop). However, most tables on the market have a height of 74-76 cm. That does not even factor in that keyboard on top can add 2-4 cm to the height. That enough puts a strain to the arms and wrists after typing for a while.⁠ ⁠ There are some workarounds that can be done like adjusting the seat height or placing the keyboard at a level below the tabletop. Ideal but more expensive solutions would be to find tables with lower heights or use a height-adjustable desk. Whatever the preference, what matters is that it is one that provides the greatest level of comfort and health advantage as possible.
